Lodge at Pasha Lake Cabins

If you are looking for a fishing camp with endless opportunities to fish different lakes and catch walleye and pike, you don’t have to look further than Pasha Lake Cabins in Jellicoe, Ontario. The guys from the Fish’N Canada show continually brag about this resort. In the summer of 2010, I will be headed there myself and will let you know how it is. But everything I read suggests that this is a top notch fishing destination.

This entry contains the information I learned about Mattice Lake Outfitters from searching the web. Fishing Traveler has received no financial or any other type of compensation for this post. The information here is accurate only to the best of my knowledge. All information should be verified with Mattice Lake Outfitters before booking a trip.

At Pasha Lake Cabins, the focus of fishing is the abundant walleye and northern pike. A close third is their lake trout fishing. Brook trout, jumbo perch, whitefish and splake are also available.

Pasha Lake itself has only pike but the walleye fishing is available at any number of their many portage lakes. Some of the portage lakes can be boated to and others need to be driven to. They have twelve cabins fully equipped for housekeeping. The cabin have full washroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. They also have a campground which can accommodate RV parking and tenting. Finally, they have outpost tent camps for anyone wanting something a bit more adventurous.

Their main lodge is pretty typical for a modern camp with amenities like wireless internet. One unique thing is that they do have laundry facilities. This can save on packing space if you don’t mind doing a load during your stay.

Pasha Lake Cabins does not publishe their rates. But having booked with them, I can tell you that you will be quite surprised at how reasonable their Housekeeping Plan packages are. I am looking at booking a week of fishing in the spring of 2011. (Father and son trip). My father is BIG on pickerel and I would love to catch a brook trout. We have our own small 14 ft aluminum and my Dad is 76. Would this be a good spot for us to spend a week and catch some great pickerel and maybe catch a couple of brook trout for myself??
