I book a week for my father and I the week before Memorial Day in 2010. I have to say everything was top notch. The only problem we had was the weather, which was unbelievably hot. Every day we were there it was 95-100 degrees. Obviously the fishing suffered. While we caught lots of perch right around the lodge, the walleye were not active. We also caught some pike and smallies. We took a back lake trip and only caught one walleye. We missed out on the shore lunch because there was a ban on all fires because of the heat. The next day however a family limited out on the same lake, go figure. The accomadations were excellent. The chef was fantastic, every meal was out of site. And the bag lunches were also awesome. The boats were top notch and there was access to plenty of water. We saw a huge bull moose swim across the back lake while we were there, and also heard a wolf outside of our cabin one night. Like I said everything was great and I’m sure we would have done a lot better on the fishing if it were’nt for the heat.

fished halleys chase lake in 2008 late aug. party of six adults. did not catch any trophy fish, but you can't belive the walleye we caught,avg size 16" to 20". my son and i caught 32 walleye and one np in one hour.

We fished at Silver Water Wheel lodge for the first time in August 2011. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESORT AND THE LAKE. The service was great, the staff and management was the BEST. Lac Seul is a Walleye fisherman's dream and so was the resort. This is a fully guided trip, American plan (food was great), and so was our guide. We are going back in 2012 and every year after that as long as we are able. The resort is small and remote - accommodations are first class. We enjoyed the low key environment and individual service we received. Fishing was over the top excellent. Al & Babs Debes, Leech Lake, Minnesota

I have never personally stayed at anglers kingdom but fished the lake for several years at a different outpost. We like staying at this other outpost due to we are the only ones there. Hey, if you are going to be remote….be remote…Anyway, we have ran into anglers kingdom staff several times over the years. Now remember, we are from a different outpost, so if anybody would be treated bad it would be us you would thing…..Farther from the truth. Ever staff member my wife and I have ran into has been the most friendly person you could ever meet. In fact last year, we was at the take out point and couple of their staff members where there waiting to pick up that weeks clients. In the course of talking with them they even helped us unload the boat of the heavy items. Wow, that is just being nice young men. If and when I get to the point I can no longer do the remoteness of the outpost Kevins place will be the first I go to. Just because every staff member has treated me well very well knowing I was staying at a competitors lodge. And you know….shit happens…you are remote..

Greasy dirty cabins,the fridge had mold all over it,and had to clean the stove first to prevent a grease fire. Comments from the owner about the conditions was quite simple, THEY HAVE BEEN BUSY. What I mostly saw was the staff and owner watching TV or boating hunters to and from. Fishing was terrible. Will advise others their website is deceiving. This place is run down.

We had a great time.The boats, motors and cabins were more than adaequate. Our hosts went out of their way to help us. I hope to go back next year.

Spent a week at Eagle Falls this past July and it was an amazing vacation and fishing experience. Travis and Carrie manage to make everyone feel at home and comfortable. Their top priority is their guests experience and it shows. I'm new to walleye/pike fishing, but caught more than I can count. Travis made sure that we had the correct tackle and techniques, and even spent a day showing us where to fish. Food was all you can eat and excellent! Carrie is a great cook. Travis also cooks a mean ribeye. Accommodations are clean and well maintained - exactly what you would expect from a rustic lodge. The only negative I can think of is the lack of non-stop flights between Texas and Red Lake. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

havent fished up there since darrele sold it. im itchn to get back up there for the spring pike on beaty and some of the sounding lakes for walldogs. its all about the adventure up there. hope to meet u some day chad. as a die hard fisherman i suggest you check the jelico area out.
