The information here is accurate only to the best of my knowledge. All information should be verified with Bush Country Camp before booking a trip.

Fishing

They offer fishing for walleye, northern pike and lake trout. Lac Sasseginega is 19 miles long and 7 miles wide with over 50 islands. In addition to the main lake, they have 3 portage lakes. All three portage lakes offer additional northern pike fishing and one offers lake trout.

Bush Country Camp has imposed conservation limits to help preserve their fishery. You are not allowed to keep walleye over 23 inches or pike over 34 inches unless keeping them to mount.

Accommodations

Bush Country Camp can accommodate up to 60 people. They consider their camp an outpost camp and not a resort. I have heard their cabins are rustic but quite adequate for the vacationing fisherman. All the cabins are equipped with cold running water and electricity. There are no flush toilets. They do have a guest shower house with hot water. No coffee makers, microwaves and toasters are available or allowed at the Camp to conserve electricity.

They have 14′ and 16′ boats with 9.9hp or 15hp motors.

Packages and Rates

Housekeeping and American Plans are available at Bush Country Camp. Their rates are not listed on their web site.

Location

The camp is a boat-in camp north of Kipawa. Additionally, the last 2 to 3 hours of your trip are on rough logging roads.

Fishing

The smallmouth fishing is fantastic, but they aren’t the only attractition. La Réserve Beauchêne also boasts 6 other species of fish including brook trout, lake trout, northern pike, walleye, splake and white fish.

In addition to the main lake, there are 40 other lakes that can meet almost any fishing desire.

Accommodations

La Réserve Beauchêne has luxurious accommodations in either their lodge or cabins. You won’t lack for anything here. They also have camp sites available.

They have a couple of boating options. Their standard is 14′ Princecrafts with 20hp motors. They have an upgrade bass-type boat available.

Packages and Rates

This is primarily an American Plan package resort but they also offer outpost cabins and camping. La Réserve Beauchêne is on the high end of cost but from what I have been told is worth every penny.

Location

La Réserve Beauchêne is located near Témiscaming, Quebec. The Google Map below is intended to give you an idea of their general location and does not reflect the exact destination.

Fishing

Lake Wetetnagami stretches close to 14 miles long and is home to walleye and northern pike. The lake has a very diverse habitat and provides lots of room to explore. The lake is remote enough that you won’t have any problems with needing to share too many spots.

Accommodations

Each cottage is equipped with a propane refrigerator and stove, complete kitchen, and shower. Most of the cabins have indoor toilets but I believe some use an outhouse. The cabins are powered by solar electricity and also have a slow burning wood-stove.

Each camp also has a satellite phone that will connect with you the base camp.

Their rental boats are 15′ Princecraft Yukon boats with 15 hp Yamaha motors.

Packages and Rates

They offer Housekeeping Plan packages. The rates on their site are still from 2009 but their weekly package which includes boat rental is $595 US per person.

Location

Wetetnagami Outfitter is located about 40 miles east of Lebel-sur-Quévillon, Quebec. Their base camp is accessible by car but you boat-in to your camp.
