Bow Narrows Camp is a boat-in fishing camp on Red Lake in Northwest Ontario. I love boat-in camps. They provide remote fishing, outdoor adventure and very reasonable rates. Bow Narrows Camp appears to possess all of these traits.
This entry contains the information I have learned about Bow Narrows Camp from searching the web. Fishing Traveler has received no financial or any other type of compensation for this post. Fishing
Red Lake is well known for northern pike and walleye. Lake trout, whitefish and ling can also be caught. On big lakes like Red Lake, location of the camp can be really important. They are the difference between spending most of your time fishing versus boating.
Bow Narrows Camp has a blog that will keep you posted on all of their fishing.
Accommodations
They advertise that their cottage rate includes everything including fish cleaning. I think some people underestimate this benefit. It is real nice to get back to camp and have someone else grab your stringer and carve your filets as you grab a beer.
The camp is modernized with the cabins having bathrooms with showers, kitchens and living areas. The camp supplies electricity 24 hours a day from the camp generator.
Boats are 16 footers with 20hp four stroke outboards.
Packages and Rates
They offer American Plan and Housekeeping Plan options. Their American Plan package rate is $860 Canadian. The Housekeeping Plan package is $650 Canadian per person.
Child rate for ages 7 to 12 and under is 1/2 price of the chosen package. Children 6 and under are free.
Location
They meet you at their dock and parking lot in the town of Red Lake and boat you into camp from there. The Google Map below is intended to give you an idea of their general location and does not reflect the exact destination.

I have fished Bow Narrows Camp for 12 years. Dan and Brenda, camp owners are friendly people and very helpful. They always seem to find an excellent staff also. The cabins are modern and comfortable with indoor bathrooms and electricity even though the camp is remote wilderness. It is easy to navigate around the area with the map provided and guides are just not necessary. They will tell you the good spots.
I can vouch for the fishing in early June, as it is excellent. This place is the best value I’ve found for an American Plan package. The food is excellent. I’ll be going back next year.
