Morning Mist at Blue Heron Resort
Blue Heron Resort offers Housekeeping Plan cabin rentals along with RV and tent camping on the Spanish River near Spanish, Ontario. They are the only resort on the lower Spanish River.

Fishing
The Spanish River is a very rich fishery with lots of diversity. The main focus of their fishing is on walleye, smallmouth bass and northern pike. They have a good population of perch, crappie and panfish. Largemouth bass, catfish, rainbow trout, salmon, muskie and sturgeon also swim in these waters.
You can access the North Channel of Lake Huron just a few miles from the resort.
Accommodations
I have been told that the cottages are very comfortable and clean. The cottages have a 4-piece bathrooms and kitchen with appliances. They offer free wireless internet.
Packages and Rates
Rates are based on the cottage that you choose to rent. For an example, their cottage 7B, which has 3 bedrooms and houses 6 people, costs $1100 in Canadian Funds. They have cabins for couples to groups of 12 people.
Boat rentals are additional. They have standard fishing boats available as well as a pontoon boat.
Location
Blue Heron Resort is very convenient and only 1 mile from Highway 17. The town of Spanish, Ontario is only 4 miles away. The Google Map below is intended to give you an idea of their general location and does not reflect the exact destination.
