Echo Lake is about 2 1/2 miles long and deep depths from 100 to 230 feet in the center. According to Echo Lake Resort,
It is fed by 55 springs, has no inlet or outlet, and is excellent for all types of fishing. Each year the lake is stocked with 20,000 fish — 5000 Gerrard Rainbows, 5000 Black Water Rainbows & 10000 Penask Lake Rainbows, and features weed beds, drop offs and structures.

Echo Lake Provincial Park is located in a popular scenic spot in the north Okanagan. This park is for day use only. Fishing licences, boat rentals, bait, and fishing tackle are available. There are no camping facilities.
